About the Sacramento Sirens
The Sacramento Sirens are both a women’s tackle football team and a championship organization, focused on bringing women’s sports into a new era in California and across the country. The team was incorporated in March 2001 and has a broad fan demographic, interested in watching football played with desire and intensity.
With top quality athletes, dedicated staff and owners, and successful community relationships, the Sirens have brought Women’s Tackle Football to the highest level of professionalism in the nation, with a WAFC championship in 2002 and 3 IWFL National Championships in 2003, 2004 and 2005. In 2010 the Sirens were the IWFL Western Conference Champions and returned to the IWFL Championship game held in Round Rock, Texas.
About the IWFL
The Independent Women’s Football League (IWFL), a 501©(6) non-profit Texas Corporation, is a full tackle women’s football league focused on creating a positive, safe and fun environment for the women who play the game and fans that come out to watch them. The IWFL was founded in 2000 by a group of women dedicated to making the sport a household name. The IWFL currently has over 1600 women playing the sport for 51 teams across North America from Southern California to Montreal and Washington to Florida with consistent expansion into to new markets.
