2003 Fans July 17, 2003 To the Sirens family, Jennifer Schultz May 14, 2003 We've been avid fans since we learned of
the existence of the league. We were able to be there for the
championship game last year and it was exciting to watch the team
working so well together. The crowd was totally into the game and that
guy with all the signs is a riot! (Who's hubby is he?) We've been to a
couple of this years games and the venue is more compact and family-like
than CRCC. It's such a blast to watch these women put themselves on the
line week after week. What heart! What dedication! What pain?! The stats
are incredible! The staff seems to treat the players with ultimate
respect and the sportsmanship displayed on the field is heartwarming
(when you see less worthy displays by other pro' sports organizations).
We have a favorite player in # 65 and although she isn't noted in the
recaps (like many other equally valued players) her contributions are
significant to the success of the team. You Go Flash! 'Looking forward
to the home playoffs and hearing how the Sirens trounced all comers on
their way to another championship season. May 6, 2003 After seeing the Sirens last year and
this year, I'm really glad that I supported the ERA - Equal Rights for
Women. If we had more people in the grandstands, no one would be agaimst
Title IX. These gals are great !! May 6, 2003 "On The Field": I am a 2 year veteran to womens football and your sportmanship both on and off the field is about the best that I've come across. Not only are you excellent players, but you are excellent Teachers as well. Because with every victory, a lesson is taught to the opposing team. You've definitely showed my fellow teammates what WE can become as a team with a lot of dedication and hard work!! To the players that are on injury reserve like myself---I understand you pain!! But you know what I've also learned...we make the best cheerleaders!! Sirens you are GREAT! A Personal Note: I'm looking forward to actually being out on the playing field with you all next year. I'm even going to dedicate my rehab to you( LOL) . So watch out . THANKS AGAIN! Teria Hunter I almost forgot...Be looking for us when you come down to Long Beach, myself and a few of my teammates will be there cheering you on. We met some great players in Sac. and hopefully made some great friends. May 5, 2003 I attend Sirens games for a couple of
reasons. The most important is that watching someone chase their dreams
and have little money on the line to do it is innately beautiful to me.
There is so much ugliness in the world. Every now and then it is nice to
see athletes performing for the love of the game, in its simple form,
without money being such an ugly part of it. The women give so much to
be groundbreakers. They are on the cutting edge of a very huge
undertaking. The Sirens are proving each week that they can be just as
athletic and tough as men on the football field. March 9, 2003 To All associated with the Sacramento
Sirens Team: November 7, 2002 I had the best time last night.......so many things going on.....my buddy scored a T.D....... saw the D-Train "wreck" a few people.......saw one girl get so excited after a T.D. that she fell down in the end zone after attempting a spike.......saw a crazy woman do some kind of a chant with a milk carton in front of the crowd ......saw a great half time act with guys dancing and chanting.......watched the crowd get heavily into the sound track of "who let the dogs out".......ate way too much kettle corn.......listened to a funny P.A. announcer all game.........and saw our team send Hawaii packin'.......thanks for the memories!!!!
