Sirens 2006 FIRST Rookie Player Tryouts
Dates: Sunday, November 6, 2005
Register: 10:00 a.m.
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Location: Pacific High School Field

From 80 - Watt Ave (North) - Don Julio (R) - Bolivar, FIRST LIGHT (R) - turn in to the first driveway on your right (this is Pacific High School) and park in the rear blacktop area.

Presentation of Resolution to Sirens MVP, "Diamond" Lill Jarrell

District 1 Chair, Roger Dickinson, on the Sacramento County Board of Supervisor, presented "Diamond" Lill Jarrell and the Sirens, a county resolution, commending their 3-time championship season and efforts in the community.

Oak Park Haunted House

All the trick-or-treaters were out this Friday night, waiting for a chance to fill up their bins with all sorts of tasty candy. Sirens players ushered excited youngsters into the specially made haunted house, designed entirely by children from the community. Several faces showed watchful surprise as players displayed helmets and jerseys, while handing out goodie bags with toys instead of treats, encouraging activity over candy eating during the holiday weekend.


Sacramento County Airport Seminar

Sirens 2005 MVP, "Diamond" Lill Jarrell presented on the importance of teamwork at a bi-annual corporate conference to about 100 airport managers. She showed a Sirens highlight film to intrigued attendees and emphasized the importance of embracing diversity and working together with teammates from different backgrounds.


Girl Scouts Sports Event

Date: October 8, 2005
Time: 9:00am - Noon
Location: Granit Oaks Middle School in Rocklin

Several Sirens players attended the "Girl Sports" event in Rockline, hosted by the Girl Scouts organization, "Where Girls Grow Strong!". Offensive and Defensive drills were taught to over 60 excited girls by players on both sides of the ball. The day involved many sports in addition to football, including tennis, volleyball and soccer. With many of the youngsters not familiar with the fundamentals of football, they were able to take home both some inside knowledge of this classic sport and a bit of confidence to go along with it!

Auditions will be held for bands, cheer groups, and other half time acts during the player tryouts. Additionally, tryouts will include a team mascot. Contact the Sirens AGM if you or anyone you know is interested in providing exciting entertainment for Sirens fans in 2005.
