Location: Pacific High School Field
Directions: From 80 - Watt Ave (North) - Don Julio (R) - Bolivar, FIRST LIGHT (R) - turn in to the first driveway on your right (this is Pacific High School) and park in the rear blacktop area.
Fee: $75 (fee waived if tried out in November, 2005)

TRYOUT PROTOCOLS
Athletes will begin tryouts with a group stretch and warm-up. Athletes will then be divided up into equal groups and rotate through the below skill stations:

  • 10-yd dash, 20-yd dash and 40-yd dash
  • Obstacle Course
  • Shuttle Run
  • Bench Press with physio ball
  • Medicine Ball Throw
  • Long Jump
  • Passing
  • Receiving
  • Kicking
Tryouts are non-contact with no football equipment required. They are targeted towards college level athletes and women who love to play sports. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Suggested dress includes workout clothes and cleated shoes (turf/grass); mouthpiece recommended. Bring extra water, energy snacks and any injury prevention gear you would normally use playing sports (knee and ankle braces).

IMPORTANT
Individual medical insurance is required. Please bring a COPY of your medical insurance card. Tryout fee of $75.00 includes Sirens tryout T-Shirt (fee waived if tried out in November, 2005). Please print out, complete and bring the following forms to tryouts (pdf files):
a) Registration Form
b) Letter of Intent/Injury Waiver
c) Confidentiality Agreement

TEAM INFORMATION
Game Rules: Full-contact American tackle football by IWFL 2005 rules.

Territory Radius: Each team will have a 100-mile player radius.

Training Camp: Training Camp will begin 6 weeks prior to the beginning of the regular season. 2006 training camp is tentatively set to begin the first week of February, at a location to be determined. Practices are held Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM every week during training camp and during the regular season with some weekend practices required.

Games: Games will be scheduled on Saturday nights beginning in April 2006.

Travel Games: Travel will be by team vans or carpool. The Sirens will provide player and coaches only with lodging and transportation.

Equipment: Players are responsible for obtaining their own fitted personal adult sized NFL-style shoulder pads and helmet as well as mouthpieces and black cleated shoes (grass & turf). Manufacturer’s representatives will be invited to attend an early season practice to display and sell this type of equipment. The team has limited amounts of equipment for sale at used prices. Uniforms will be provided by the Team. A deposit equivalent to the value of replacement uniforms will be held by the Sirens and returned at the end of the season when the uniform is returned to the equipment manager.

Player Compensation: Profit Share program. Players are sub-contracted senior athletes volunteer investors and not employees of the team.

Insurance: Each player is required to have their own health insurance coverage and will not be allowed to participate in team activities until a copy of the insurance card is on file with the team.

Other required activities: Players are required to participate in all advance ticket sales activities and some fundraising events.
