Position Profile Series Position: Offensive Line - Left Guard Player: Margie Wells October 25, 2003 --What I like most about my position: I love pulling -- hitting unsuspecting D-lineman as they come across the line, or becoming a lead blocker for the running back as they work the outside. Knowing that I threw the block that sprung a TD is the best feeling EVER! --Tips to being successful at my position: Speed, quickness - this is required in both mind and body, strength, conditioning, keeping your head on a swivel, staying low and always giving 110%. I also use visualization before games to "see" each play. --Suggestions for others playing my position: Get a good coach, study your playbook, CONDITION, practice pulling and blocking against air, dummies and teammates and lift weights.
