On
Monday, February 24, 2003, the Sacramento Sirens, Sacramento's
professional women's full tackle football team, will be
honored by the California State Assembly for their outstanding
accomplishments. Founded in 2001, the Sirens have had tremendous

specifically Assembly member Darrell Steinberg for recognizing
the Sirens' dedication and hard work" said Colleen
Maitoza, Sirens co-owner and General Manager. "Recognition
by the Assembly of the Sirens undefeated championship season
last year was an important step in the Sirens organization
