National Champions Sacramento Sirens Host Atlanta Xplosion
Sirens take on last year’s Eastern Conference Champions in Home Opener

SACRAMENTO, April 25, 2006 - The 3-time National Champion Sacramento Sirens will face the Atlanta Xplosion, whom they defeated for the 2005 Independent Women’s Football League (IWFL) Championship at the end of last season. This will be a battle between two of the toughest teams in the league.

The Xplosion finished the 2005 regular season undefeated (10-0) on its way to a 9-7 loss to Sacramento in the championship game. Sacramento finished the season with a 13-0 record.

The Independent Women's Football League (IWFL) is a full tackle women's football league focused on creating a positive, safe and fun environment for the women who play the game and fans that come out to watch them. Founded in 2000, the IWFL currently has 28 teams across North America from Southern California to Montreal and Oregon to Florida.

All Sirens regular season home games are played at Foothill High School on Saturdays and start at 6:00 pm. Individual game tickets for the preseason and all regular season home games, are now available in the online team store. Season tickets are also still available for the four (4) regular season home games.
