Most
Memorable Moment:
It
was when my goddaughter Chantay, said her very first word
"Tina". It was on a Saturday morning. I was lying
down on my bed half asleep, when she walked into my room
and called me. I remember rising slowly, grinning ear to
ear and saying "yes", like I was the BOMB. It
took me a year to get over that feeling.
Why
I'm playing for the Sirens:
When
I started playing Women's Pro Football there were no teams
in California. I was very serious about this game and wanting
to stay in a climate similar to California, so in the Summer
of 2000 I temporarily relocated to Daytona Beach, Florida
and played my first season for the Barracudas (7-1). In
the Spring of 2001, I practiced with the Sirens and we played
an exhibition game in Hawaii. That summer I went back to
Florida, but this time I joined The Miami Fury ( 6-1) who
were a second year team and plus the Barracudas folded.
I was planning on playing with the Sirens in the Fall of
2001 after the Fury's season was over. Due to the tragedies
that took place on 9/11/01 the East Coast teams ended their
seasons early. In October of 2001, the West Coast teams
were up and running and I joined the Sacramento Sirens (7-1-2).
Not only was this a chance for me to play football in the
Golden State, but my family, friends and football fans got
to see women playing Women's Pro Smash Mouth Football. This
is my second year as a Siren. I'm here because I love football
and I love the Sirens.
