Why I'm playing for the Sirens: Since about second grade, it has been my dream to play tackle football. I played with all the boys at lunch and on the weekends all through grade school and played flag in high school. I used to tell everyone that someday women would play professional football, and I can still remember the laughs. But, finally, last year, I heard about women's professional football and realized my dream playing for the New England Storm. After transferring this year from Boston College to UOP, I was dying to find another team close enough to play for. Luckily, I found the Sacramento Sirens. I am so glad I can continue to play the sport I love, a chance many females have been denied of, and not only am I just playing, but playing for an awesome team. With so many great athletes and with our excellent, knowledgeable, coaching staff, our team is going to have some serious fun kicking butt this season.
